This product has been sent with the kind generosity of WOTOFO at wotofo.com for the purpose of an impartial review. For this reason the thoughts below are mine and are no way influenced by the fact that this was gifted.
What’s in the box?
Packaging is ‘A’ typical of Wotofo with its striking green and font usage. Its outer cover is a clear plastic allowing to see the Profile Recurve Dual RDA inside. Additionally we have the usual security check authenticity, box contents, logo and website details.
On the back of the packing we have the usual health warnings, and the logos of Wotofo and Mike Vapes who collaborated on the Profile Recurve Dual RDA.

Wotofo’s Recurve dual is a finely finished product, the inside of the top-cap is finely milled to a dome. Additionally there are cutouts in the dome that sit into the deck so the air flow holes are always correctly positioned, again makes everything straight forward.
The only criticism is that during the manufacturing process they obviously had difficulty getting the top lid on over the o-ring. Consequently they had destroyed a base o-ring in the process. Thankfully however the supplied spare o-rings fixed this.
As the o-rings are likely to be a little tight to start with, don’t forget to wipe some juice around those base o-rings so you don’t shred and damage them.
On the top of the Recurve Dual is a low profile resin drip tip, finished and polished nicely. Additionally they do supply a spare drip tip, curved like the original recurve. Moreover the 510 centre pins and squonk pin have seals around them which is a great idea. However on changing to the squonk pin after just a few uses the 510 pin plating had already worn mostly away.
Wotofo included with the Recurve Dual two quad Ni80 coils with are nicely made. However just be careful when cutting the legs off. As I managed to snag the wrapping wire and the leg unraveled quite a bit. A point of note this was caused by user error and is meant as a reminder to be careful with thin wire wraps.
There tends not to be too much to talk about when it comes to functionality of a dripper, unless it has major problems or a brand new design. However the Wotofo Recurve Dual is aimed at being as easy as possible for the user, whilst retaining as much flavour as possible. Which it does superbly, with the included coil tool and a guided leg length of 7 mm, it is super easy to setup and wick.
Mike Vapes personally recommends between 6.5 and 8 mm for the Recurve dual, it just saved a lot of confusion to go for the middle ground of 7 on the instructions.
Additionally the wicking is super easy, just ensure you don’t over stuff the base too much, and you are set to go.
The squonk pin itself sits a tad high in the base, this does mean however that excess juice may not run back into the bottle. Moreover this also has a flip side, it retains the e-liquid so that it reaches the cotton. If not for this it may otherwise get pulled back down into the squonk bottle before your cotton is fully saturated.
Dimensions – How big is yours.
Without a doubt the Recurve Dual from Wotofo and Mike Vapes is a fairly small dual coil RDA, standing at 34 mm from the 510 to the top of the resin drip tip. Additionally the Recurve Dual is 24 mm in diameter, making it a perfect size for a great many squonkers out there.
Is it a tight one SIR!
While the draw on the Recurve Dual is not super tight, it is more restricted than some, and can be closed down for a tighter, warmer vape. In comparison to the original Recurve the air holes are each about 0.5 mm in diameter, larger than the original Recurve. Comparatively the air flow holes also appear larger than those on the Profile Unity.
Importantly the draw remains smooth throughout out, adding to the pleasurable vape. Personally I find the closing the six holes ever so slightly is perfect for me. By the same token I would normally close down by at least a quarter of the airflow one other dual coil RDAs.
I am actually really enjoying the Recurve Dual, yes its nothing we have not seen before, I don’t believe it ever was meant to be. Instead it is a dual coil tuned for flavour and ease of use, to which it does the job very well. Moreover the flavour profile is quite robust from fruits to some bakeries (Blueberry Doughnut is particular nice in the Dual Recurve). I didn’t get around to testing custards as they are still steeping.
The Recurve dual has everything to get you going with the exception of a mod, juice and scissors. Additionally there is the free coil tool, not only is it a great design, but is pure simplicity. I just wished it had a keyring hole mount.
The amount of spare o-rings inclosed with the Recurve Dual is a bit frugal from Wotofo. Especially when o-rings are damaged during the manufacturing process. As a consequence leaving you without a spare for the part you replaced.
O-rings aside the only niggle I could find would be the squonk pin sits a tad high. In turn the juice cannot return back to the squonk bottle. It’s a personal niggle, as I tend to over squonk. Although it is fairly easy to live with, and probably wont bother most of you.
